Out of a deeply personal journey as a single mother to a son with a rare chromosomal deletion. Navigating the overwhelming world of special education and support services, I realized how many families—just like me—were struggling to find the right programs, resources, and guidance. Motivated by my own experiences and learning as a parent advocate, I launched the organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for other neurodivergent & developmentally disabled families by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and advocacy they need. Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc. was born from my passion to ensure that no family feels alone while seeking what’s best for their child.

The Organization Assistant supports the day-to-day administrative and programmatic functions of Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc., ensuring efficient operations and helping fulfill the organization’s mission of empowering and supporting neurodivergent and developmentally disabled individuals and their families.

Corner Piece: As one of the foundational members of the organization, I played a critical role in shaping its early direction and infrastructure. My efforts served as a guiding blueprint; establishing the structural framework that continues to support and influence the integration, alignment, and growth of our team. This leadership role at the outset laid the groundwork for a shared vision and sustainable development across the organization

Middle piece with tabs and blanks: As a longstanding member of the organization, I have played a supportive and instrumental role in connecting people to awareness of the organization, its services and events while simultaneously increasing my own understanding of and empathy for the needs of the community being served and sharing that understanding with others. 

Middle piece with tabs: I enjoy connecting people, seeing people rejoice and visions come to life. I enjoy seeing people connect with each other for the greater good of mankind. The middle piece allows me to reflect and connect the greater good of human nature in the world from a place of love. 

The Treasurer serves as the financial steward of Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc., overseeing the organization’s fiscal health and ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with all financial regulations. As a key member of the Board of Directors, the Treasurer works closely with the Executive Director and finance team to manage budgets, financial reporting, and long-term sustainability planning in support of the organization’s mission to empower families of neurodivergent and developmentally disabled individuals.

The Advisory Board at Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc. serves as a strategic resource and thought partner to the organization’s leadership and Board of Directors. While not a governing body, the Advisory Board plays a critical role in guiding the mission, expanding visibility, and deepening impact through expertise, advocacy, and connections.

Expectations:

• Serve a one-year renewable term

• Attend 2–4 advisory meetings annually (virtual or in-person)

• Be available for consultation on issues aligned with their area of knowledge

• Act as an ambassador for Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc.
