About Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc.
Advocating for Children, Perfect Piece of the Puzzle Inc assists families on their journey to find appropriate programs for special needs children. We offer guidance to families who are overwhelmed with the processes and support them through their plight to find necessary resources.

History
Founded in September 2016, Perfect Piece of the Puzzle, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of neurodivergent individuals and those with developmental disabilities. The organization was born from the personal experiences of our founder, Trishia Bermudez, as she navigated the complex and often overwhelming journey of raising her medically complex, neurodivergent son. Her challenges in finding adequate resources and clear guidance became the driving force behind this initiative. Trishia's mission is to share the knowledge she painstakingly gathered, offering families the support, information, and compassion they need to thrive.
Our goal is simple yet profound: to empower families, provide children with better opportunities to flourish, and foster a sense of community where everyone can succeed. We know that supporting a family while ensuring our children receive the attention they need is no easy task. But together, we can create a brighter future.
Our Founder's Story
If you had asked Trishia Bermudez at age 25 where she saw herself in five years, she might have imagined traveling the world or indulging in a vibrant life of discovery. However, by age 28, her journey took a life-changing turn. Pregnant with her first child, Trishia envisioned a future filled with joy and preparation. But at 16 weeks, she received news that would reshape her path: her unborn son had a rare chromosome deletion, leading to multiple medical challenges and developmental disabilities. Overwhelmed and asking, "Why me?", Trishia could not have predicted the strength and determination that would emerge.

Now, five years into this extraordinary journey with her son, Trishia has transformed her struggles into advocacy. Along the way, she discovered a significant gap in resources for families like hers, particularly in her community of Rockaway, Queens. Refusing to settle for incomplete or scattered information, she committed herself to digging deeper. Her vision: to create a space where families could access the support and resources they deserve, not just for her son, but for others in the community.
